| Autumn Glory Consider this to be the most beautifully dramatic coat I've ever made. That's my daughter modeling it. Same goes for her. |
Mustang Sally I had a show called "Under the Hood" at the Legendary Car Museum in Milton. There are stunning cars there (do they call cars stunning?) The jacket was too. |
| Red Rider Any woman that's got a decent waist looks great in a bomber jacket. I love this picture of my friend Sandra in this one. |
Sense and
Sensibility This is my Madrid style and the title reflects my head in the sky but feet on the ground approach. Puts the fun in functional. |
| Falling
Leaves People loved this design of stylized leaves falling down the front and back of this jacket. It became a signature design for me. |
Swing This suit was inspired by the forties and was made early in my career. I don't make suits any more, just jackets (although I can supply the extra fabric for you to have one made). Still love this one. |
| Daybreak
in Bolivia Made this as the center piece of a show I had with the same name which took place in a beautiful old barn in Glen Williams. There was a poster made with this photo on it. |
Sherwood
Forest Another early design using rich but hard wearing fabrics like velvet (The cotton velvet came from Belgium and was intended for light upholstery) and tapestry from the decorating industry. Timeless. |
| Medieval
Wedding Dress It wasn't designed for anyone in particular but the girl who finally bought it and wore it was over the moon. It garnered rave reviews. I really liked it too. |
Tapestry
Treasure Definitely inspired by another era when I came across this tapestry. If you have to wear a coat, why not wear one that's comfortable AND beautiful. |
| Victorian
Essence This dress was inspired by Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice". It was bought by a lovely fun lady who was renewing her vows in Barbados (in bare feet no less). It was a happy thing. |
Magnolia This one was inspired by a painting by Sheryl Gerard with the same title. They were displayed in an art gallery together. The painting was stunning and the jacket turned out pretty good too. |
| Belle Another very early piece inspired by the Victorian era when a bride wore Sunday best and not necessarily white. Still think the idea of wearing something this rich and beautiful more than once is a great idea so I made two skirts. This lace one for the wedding and a tailored pencil skirt for other occasions. |
| Cream Started designing toppers that can change for different occasions. This one had a removable collar for a simpler look. Felt like a cozy sweater on but looked so much more polished. |
| Bavarian Beauty Designed for my "Waltzing the World" Show in 2007 inspired by Bavarian costume. Ro is modeling it and she works all my shows if I can get her. Beauty, brains and she's a riot! |
| Moonlight
Designed with a mature minded bride in mind who might enjoy wearing it again for another occasion. I had imagined someone being married in the evening under the moonlight when I made it. And that's what happened! |
|
Turkish Temptress I call this my tuxedo style with it's fit and dropped back. Tuxedos usually come in black. This is so not black! |
| Cape Town Love the versatility of this style - truly a four season piece and it fits just about everybody. I try to design one or two every year. |
| Blue Sky
Thinking Custom design (in the days when I did custom) for a really neat client and she thought it was terrific. Love the play of denim with velvet. Blue is so refreshing and friendly. |
| Waltzing the
World This jacket was the highlight of a show with the same name. I had it modeled with a beautiful layered lace ballerina length skirt complete with crinoline. But it looks awesome with a pair of jeans too. |
| Lady in Lace One of my very early pieces incorporating vintage lace in with new lace to make a modern garment with an old world feel. So-o-o feminine. |
| Simply Simon Made a lot of custom vests over the years but this one was my favourite. I had reclaimed the beaded bits from another buckskin jacket that Simon had owned for at least 40 years. It had dried out but lives on in this one. Had real character just like the owner. |
